Microsoft released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 27868 to the Canary Channel, introducing a refreshed Voice Access interface with a more streamlined setup experience. The Windows update also allows users to explore new Voice Access commands inside the app.

Microsoft tackled several bugs with this release. Pen input now works correctly on devices with stylus support. The team fixed issues that blocked apps like Spotify from launching or installing. Group Policy Editor now displays properly in languages such as Chinese. A crash caused by the SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED error has also been resolved.

But the update doesn’t fix everything. Copilot+ PC users switching to the Canary Channel may lose access to Windows Hello PIN and biometric sign-ins. The taskbar may not show its usual acrylic effect, and some audio devices with higher sampling rates might not produce sound. Virtualization apps could fail to start unless the Hypervisor Platform is manually enabled. Task Manager search and filters still don’t work either.

Released on 29 May, the build does not include a matching SDK yet. For those testing early versions, expect more UI updates and gradual fixes in upcoming builds as Microsoft refines its roadmap toward future releases.
